In COPD, alveoli function is dependent on ATP.

COPD triggers inflammation because the alveolis seems to not have enough energy available to execute macrophage-dependent functions, thereby increasing CO2 levels.

Increasing Creatine availability improves COPD symptoms by inhibiting TLR-4 mediated inflammation and increasing ATP output in alveolar macrophages.
